Image ALT Text Analysis

All <img> Tags should include a short ALT (alternative) text that describes the Image. This will be shown when the user places the mouse over an Image.

The wording of the Image ALT Text can be used by the Search Engines to find a Website. It may also appear in the Search Engine Results Page (SERP) listing. Consequently the Image ALT Text should be regarded next in importance after the content of a Website page.

The Image ALT Text:

• Should be checked to ensure that it is optimal
• Should be different for each image in the Website
• Should contain relevant Keyword Phrases
• Should not be missing or inadequate

The size of the Image in bytes is shown in this analysis. It should be kept to a maximum of 10,000 bytes. If the size of the Image shown is zero, then the size is missing from the <img> tag, and should be set.
